Not Normal Goggles

"How are you levitating like that?" I ask. "Why are you wearing those silly goggles?" The stranger retorts. I adjust my diving mask, removing the orange snorkel and putting it in my backpack. We're standing at an empty bus stop. It's dark, the streetlight flickers above us. "You haven't answered my question," the stranger continues. He doesn't know they're not normal goggles. With them I can see that he's pale, his eyes are red and fangs protrude from his lips. I can see what he really is - a vampire. "You haven't answered my question either." "That's because I don't need to explain myself." "Then neither do I." I squint at him. Silence hangs over us for a moment. I look at the schedule; the bus is arriving in two minutes. I feel a hand grip around my neck. The vampire's foul breath fills my nose. "Then tell me, monster hunter," he grins, "will you accept my fangs in your neck?" I pull a stake from my pocket, elbowing him in the nose before inserting the stake in between the eyes. I watch as he crumbles into ashes. "No, I will not." The bus slows to a stop. The passengers surround the windows in alarm. I groan, it's not easy keeping my job a secret.
